Employee Health Insurance; Enrollee Contribution

The applicable enrollee contribution, not to exceed 20 percent of the fee assessed to the employer, shall be collected by the employer and paid concurrently with the employer fee. The employer may agree to pay more than 80 percent of the fee, resulting in an enrollee, and, if applicable, dependent contribution of less than 20 percent. For enrollees making a contribution for family coverage and whose wages are less than 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines for a family of three, as specified annually by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, the applicable enrollee contribution shall not exceed 5 percent of wages. For enrollees making a contribution for individual coverage and whose wages are less than 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines for an individual, the applicable enrollee contribution shall not exceed 5 percent of wages.
