Legislative findings and intent of vocational rehabilitation services.
(a) The Legislature finds and declares that vocational rehabilitation provides an important tool for the retraining of injured workers. However, it is equally important that this retraining should be provided in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
(b) The Legislature further finds that community colleges can provide a cost-effective alternative to existing vocational rehabilitation services, and declares its intent to encourage the implementation of vocational rehabilitation services at community colleges.
