The Los Angeles County Board of Education (LACOE) and the County Superintendent of Schools recognize their responsibility to provide healthful, safe and adequate facilities that enhance the instructional program, making the provision of adequate school facilities a priority in Los Angeles County Office of Education.

In order to provide the necessary housing and equipment for all LACOE services, the County Superintendent may purchase, lease, or rent real property, facilities, and equipment as authorized by law and shall provide for their proper maintenance and operation. Title shall be vested in the name of "Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools."
