The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) provides effective leadership that anticipates the needs of students of all backgrounds from birth to adulthood. LACOE provides only quality service to districts and represents the voice of the Los Angeles County educational community at the local, state, and national levels. Every adult in the organization is a student advocate that is responsive to student talents and interests and is well trained and committed to achieving high levels of academic success regardless of any obstacles or challenges that may be encountered. All standards and programs reflect the knowledge and life skills for students to be adequately prepared for high school graduation, career preparation, post-secondary education, employable skills, and responsible citizenship.
